Even though YRF fails sometimes (mostly in recent past) in delivering good watchable high grossing movies, they really hits the money with some impressive Tracks. As he did last time with Ta Ra Rum Pum, Sidhu goes with Vishal-Shekhar, and it was really disaster time for Vishal-Shekhar after OSO, giving some really boring and annoying tracks with Bhoothnath and De taali (Tashan did well.), and needed to deliver this time around with Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Khuda Jaane - Yes, there goes the first track, and right on the track! Very soft melody, fresh, unheard music, and really you will be forced to hear it again and again. KK Menon simply Rocks, and Shilpa Rao is also good. One of the most impressive tracks of the season, and i can afford to buy the entire album, if it has a single song like this. Excellent.
Lucky Boy - Ranbir, are you the lucky boy, getting three chicks in one flick? Anyway as i heard Khuda Jaane, i was barely impressed by this track. Reminding me Lazy Lamhe - Aargh, i don't want it again! Sunidhi's typical style was impressive, Hard Kaur hadn't nothing special except to had some chorus spice to the track, along with the Punjabi topping by Raja Hassan. Average.
Aahista Aahista - Lucky Ali, after a long time, and how Vishal-Shekhar do this to us. It seems pretty identical to Fanaa from Yuva and the same guy sang that along with Sunidhi, and it has the same Club mix and tempo, I would really like to skip this track. I am bored with Fanaa now, and they have packed the old wine in the old bottle itself! Disappointing - Below Average.
Jogi Mahi - Vishal-Shekhar never makes an album without their favourite Sukhvinder, and Jogi Mahi is a dish with a Punjabi topping , it starts of with Shekhar who begins very well and Sukhvinder joins him. Both seems to be good, but hey, i am not impressed. Again, how could you deliver such outdated tunes again after a fresh, lively, melody to kickstart with? It seems pretty similar to the same team's Saiyaan Ve from Tara Rum Pum, just sounds bit odd. Average track.
Small Town Girl - Surprise Surprise! Here comes the next genuine track! Rocking Punjabi mood created by Shanker Mahadevan, and he is something else man! Now he is rocking 3:50 minutes and this is a real charm you can't miss, this track must really tap your feet, and must make you do Balle-Balle! Excellent - Credits - Shankar!
Khuda Jaane (Revisited) - Now as I am really impressed by Khuda Jaane, i was afraid that this remix could really mess it up, but i was terribly wrong. The remix version is as good as the original. Party mood there, but i would prefer original. Very good.
Bachna Ae Haseeno : The track which i heard first and wanted to hear after all. Title track is what should really impress one, to go for an album. I am confused what to say. These guys are great copycats - Really impressed me, and it is a remix of Rishi's Bachna ae Haseeno, and when you handle such tracks, you must be really careful. And to my surprise, Kishore magic really works guys, anyone who enjoyed the actual version must be happy with remix version too. Kishore Kumar is a legend. Sumit Kumar sounds OK. Vishal Dadlani does well in the Choruses.
Verdict: Yeah, Vishal-Shekhar team is back on song again. The album must top the charts soon- and the standalone Three tracks and one remix version is really more than enough reason for you to grab a CD from the nearest store. For me, it was surely worth Buying. The best album of the season. Rating: 3.5/5 (Very good)
