There's a bunch of movies coming up since today, and many of them are big budgeted hyped films, and the first one being Akki's Kambakkht Ishq and already the buzz around says that the movie is a big disappointment, (Rediff and other critics rating it below par) except for the mighty Taranji, but it might well be a hit as it will ensure a rock solid opening @ the 2ooo+ centeres. But for moviebuffs, it might be yet another disappointment.
Anil kapoor's Shortkut - The con is on, the remake of malayalam flick 'Udayananu Thaaram' is scheduled for release on 1oth of this month, may well prove to be a surprise hit, but mostly, the film will result an average as the promo's and music are not creating any sorts of impact and there's a little hype surrounding the movie. Amrita Rao's glam appearance doesn't look like saving this comedy drama.
Luck, directed by Soham Shah of Kaal fame, seems like yet another flop for Imraan, but music making decent impact and if there's a good script, this might well prove lucky for Soham. But it looks like the movie will be noticed just as the launching pad of Shruthi Hassan.
The next big release after Kambakkht Ishq is Saif's maiden production venture Love Aaj Kal, and though his 'Yeh cup kahin nahi jayega' promo's failed, the music seems to do the trick as it is generating good response among the masses. This might well prove lucky to Saif unless something goes awfully bad, which is almost impossible with a director like Imtiaz Ali of Jab we Met fame. Wait till July 31st.
The film is expected to release on August 14th.
Director duo Abbas-Mastan's production venture Life Partner though doesn't have any big hype, might enjoy an average-hit status. The film stars Govinda and Genilia D'Souza in the lead, but it's release along with Kaminey might well affect this flick's business.
